MAGMA PCI Expansion Chassis (PXB-7): The MAGMA PXB-7 is a PCI to PCIexpansion chassis compliant with Revision 2.0 of the PCI Local BusSpecification. Incorporating 7 slots (7 slots useable - 6 master and 1slave) of PCI expansion into a table top enclosure, the expansion chassissupports PCI cards with a maximum PCI clock frequency of 33mhz. The PXB-7includes a 200 watt power supply and provides mounting provisions forthree 5.25" and two 3.5" peripherals with front panel access. Noadditional software is required for full operation. A rack mountableenclosure available as an option. Expansion Box: The expansion box is anindustry standard enclosure containing a UL/CSA/CE compliant, 200 wattpower supply. The power supply is capable of accepting either 120VAC @8Aor 240VAC @4A input power and provides +5VDC @20A, -5VDC @0.5A, +12VDC@8A and -12VDC @0.5A output power. Three convenient power taps areprovided for 3.5" or 5.25" peripheral devices that use an industrystandard Mate-N-Lock connector. Storage shelves within the enclosurewill accept a wide variety of 3.5" or 5.25" fixed or removable media diskdrives. On the PCI backplane itself are six PCI connectors ("slots")that will support any +5VDC PCI Bus Master option card. One additional"slot" connector on the PCI backplane will accept a +5VDC non-Bus MasterPCI option card. All seven slots support full-length (312mm) PCI optioncards. Host Interface Card: The PCI Host Interface is a +5VDC PCIadapter card. This card is installed on the primary (or "upstream") PCIbus, either into an available PCI slot in your host computer or an"upstream" PCI expansion backplane slot. Expansion Interface Card: ThePCI Expansion Interface is a +5VDC PCI adapter card. It is installed inthe PCI slot connector adjacent to the power sonnectors on the MAGMA PCIExpansion Backplane. The PCI Expansion Enclosure is shipped from thefactory with the PCI Expansion Interface already installed. BusExpansion Cable: The PCI Bus Expansion cable connects the PCI HostInterface card in the host system or "upstream" PCI Expansion Box and thePCI Expansion Interface card in the PCI Expansion Backplane.
